Smart Card Gids Applet

Post by JavaCardOS » Wed Dec 14, 2016 5:25 am

GidsApp is a javacard applet which was developed according the specification GIDS 2.0 (Generic Identity Device Specification). It provides a generic identity command set for interaction with smart cards that are used for identity applications. It will be able to be used without driver installation since windows 7 sp1.

Downloading GidsApp to a java card can completely replace a GIDS smart card.

Hi! Tested this applet for windows(Windows Server 2016) AD logging in on ACOSJ Combi 40k cards and ACR1281U-C1 readers.
It worked fine.

Met some problems on Windows 7 and Windows XP, during authorization via smartcard, on Windows 10, it worked without any issues.

Can you describe problems on Windows7 and WindowsXP for more details?

I thought there were problems with drivers, cause when I used contactless module, windows 7 and WinXP didn't recognize the SC with the appropriate certificate.

Dear,

I have problem with Gids applet on Winxp. I used opensc to work with gids card however it can't work.
Gids applet don't support the pkcs#15 profile so opensc can't work to gids applet.

Please share to help me solution to process it!
