The usage of yubioath-android combined with OATH-Applet in A40CR card

Post by JavaCardOS » Thu Jan 14, 2016 3:19 am

The yubioath-android is a small android application for doing OATH codes with the help of a YubiKey NEO. Here we can use A40CR Card instead of YubiKey NEO.

Preparation:
1.Download yubioath-android (see attachment), installed it into the phone.
2.Start the application, and make sure NFC is turned on.
3.Use pyApdutool to download the OathApplet into A40CR card, install and select the applet.

Usage:
1.Select "Add account manually" from the actions menu. See the following figure.

2.In the following dialog, enter the credential name and secret key, select the authentication standards: Time based(TOTP), then "ADD". See the following Figure.

3.Follow the prompts, put A40CR to the back of phone.

4. You can also select another authentication standards: Counter based(HOTP).

5. There are two types of authentication: TOTP and HOTP. See the figure below.

Note:
1>.The code of TOTP will automatically update, after the blue progress bar disappears, and put the A40CR card to the back of phone.
2>.Click the refresh button, follow the prompts, the code of HOTP will be updated.

Others:
1. Select "Change device password" from the actions menu to set/change the password of this device.

2. Once set the device password, then each time you start this application, you need to enter password to verify, or you can remember password.
