Java card supporting RSA4096

Post by Lehrling81 » Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:15 pm

Is there any card in the online store that support RSA4096? I am going to generate RSA4096 keys on the card.

Actually all the java cards sold on our online store now don't support RSA4096. If you request higher level security than RSA 2048, we suggest to use ECC, and JC30M48CR card supports ECC algorithm.

BTW, as far as I know there isn't any java card that support RSA4096 in current market.

You have very very limited option if you want RSA-4096 bit operations.

Here is the only one (but very hard to obtain) hardware that supports JavaCard and 4096-bit RSA. I wish you good luck and all the best attempting to obtain these hardware as thee company is known to be very picky on their customers and usually do not respond to request for sample hardware or sales.

The only other cards I know that support RSA4096 are the Gnupg card, the ACOS5-64 and the 7.6 and 8.x Basiccards. The only programmable ones are the Basiccards and they are programmed with a version of basic and not Java. The ACOS5-64 is a PKI card mostly for storage of keys and certificates and the Gnupg card is of course tied to the GPG program. There are rumors that more cards will be coming out Soon(tm) but I haven't heard any specific dates. They pretty much have to as the 2048 is fast approaching being breakable with the new cpu's and gpu's that are coming out.
