CVM List with alternative AID

Postby vasmasal » Tue Nov 21, 2017 4:37 am

hi,
Let's say a small community decided to make their own private alternative to existing payment cards. (They will use to for payment but not by money but their own playing currency).

We want to use regular POS terminals for payments.
Each terminal starts form communicating with a payment card and identifies it by AID which belongs to one of payment systems in CVM list (visa, MasterCard)
Right?

If we create our own card with a new AID.
Should be enough to update POS terminals to accept them new AID and to connect to our own software to perform an alternative transaction? (not related to EMV or any existing bank). (I want at the same time the terminal to accept regular bank cards too).

or it is not impossible to make regular POS terminals work simultaneously with all cards?
should we need any acceptance/approval by EMV and Co.?
