Our Online Store have the new products: RFID antenna board. Currently it can work with JC10M24R and JCOP4 card chips.
Compared with normal cards, the antenna board module has a smaller size and fixed holes, which is easy to integrate in the IOT(Internet Of Things) project.

EMV PIN Readable

Post by JHack » Fri Jan 29, 2016 9:39 am

Hello community,

I'm glad to join that great board!

Sorry if i'm not in right section :(

I would like to know if it's possible to read pin code from an emv card through apdus or other tech.
There's a company who sell a soft where you can read pin code by simple click: http://www.exeba.com/comm40/smartcomm.htm

I would like to know if it's possible or simply bullshit.

Of what i know pin code is not readable like name or expiration date, these files are protected by ADM codes, right?

Could you help me with this point and tell me if it's true, they can read pin code like that or how i can get access to pin code without hack or trick.

Regards.

I do not know if this is true, however, from its introduction pictures, it can read and write cards SLE5542/SLE4442/AT24C, there's no introduction for EMV card. So how much information it can reads from EMV card is unknown.

From the introduction, it is just one card production program.

IMO, it is impossible to access the PIN code without any special hardware attack equipment.
Even if you have professional equipment, it is very hard to read the information in the smart card.
Usually the basic system or application of the EMV card has been verified by laboratory attacks.

So if there is no advanced attack device or new attack means in a certain time period, the password information or others stored in the EMV card is still very safe .
